Happiness Is Grand
Music by Stone and
Ashin,
(Based in part on Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, “Ode to Joy”)
Wanting the world, the sky under my feet
If it rains, dreams can quickly sprout
They’re about to explode
The heavens aren’t afraid, the earth isn’t afraid, sing
loudly, happiness is grand
Believe in yourself, tomorrow you will rule
如果有夢 woo be cool woo woo be cool

Notes: Words in bold
in the translation are in English in the original. This is not Mayday’s first composition to
incorporate Beethoven’s Ninth – their recording of “Innocence (純真)” also
used the song at the bridge. By all rights, "偉大" should be translated as "great" - but when I tried it out, it didn't feel quite right - "great"
is used in so many different contexts in English, I didn't think the
one intended here was immediately evident, so I opted for "grand"
instead.
