永遠的永遠
Forever,
Forever
詞曲:阿信
Words
and Music by Ashin
Yesterday I dreamt of my youth and familiar places Why do I feel like this, all choked up
No matter how I laugh, how I cry, how I dream, forever and ever I’m the same
person
It’s just that a home’s doors and windows can’t hold in
desires
No matter how I laugh, how I cry, how I dream, forever and ever I’m the same
person |
我 昨眠的夢 小漢的我 熟悉的所在 不管按怎過按怎變按怎的人 永遠的永遠我是彼個人 |

The line "I thought that I'd stopped caring" is not a direct translation of "我想說我已經是漂泊的人" - that would be more like "I thought that I'd already become a drifter." Because that translation doesn't quite explain what we think it the overall meaning of the verse, we've gone for amore abstract interpretation.
Another way to interpret the "I thought that as long as I was persistent, all my dreams would come true" might be “I believe that as long as I am persistent, all my dreams will come true.” That concept is certainly in-line with similarly inspirational messages found in other Ashin-penned lyrics.
Ashin later wrote a Mandarin version of the song, 闖 Charge. The "no matter how far away" in the chorus is from the idiom 天涯海角 (heaven's boundaries, sea's corners) which simply means a far distant place, and Ashin uses the same idiom in the Mandarin version.
