The MTV Music Awards for Asia were held last week, and I don’t care about the outcome. I arrived at that decision after reading this article, which noted that Fahrenheit beat out Mayday and sodagreen as the best group from Taiwan.
Um, seriously?
No, there’s no sense bothering with the rest of it once you’re dealing with an outcome like that. On the bright side, though, cheer on mainland band SuperVC (a real band, not a boy band). When asked about their win for best group on the mainland, they noted to reporters that, “We also would like to thank Fahrenheit; while they rely on their faces to succeed, we rely on our abilities.” I love it. And now I’m doubly glad I bought their last album.
hahha… i like SuperVC’s comment. agree… there’s is no way Fahrenheit can beat Mayday or Sodagreen to be the ‘best group’ from Taiwan. but the award name is 最具风格组合奖, i don’t think it really meant ‘best group’. i would interpet it as ‘most stylish group’. then it would match the fact that Fahrenheit 靠脸蛋. hahaha… :-p
Meh, they all name their awards different things, but unless they keep separate categories for “best” and “most stylish,” it comes down to picking one as their foremost band. And I definitely have serious doubts about the awards organization that picks Fahrenheit over both Mayday and sodagreen whatever the name of the award!
