輕功  Qinggong

Words and Music by Ashin

These days, I really need love to make this lifetime’s chaos become tranquil
People wander around, their hearts are not up to them, this world is bothersome and sticky
Where are you, where are you, a pair of shoes stamp open heaven and earth

I so want to find you, so want to be able to fly to the eaves and walk the walls
Find you, hug you, I hate that I can’t fly up to the heavens

I often call your cell phone, often it’s like trying to call Mars, there’s no answer
Although technology has started to take on human aspects, but I want the real you
Copy the clouds, leave the earth, much longer than a grasshopper’s last strength

I so want to find you, so want to be able to fly to the eaves and walk the walls
Find you, hug you, I hate that I can’t fly up to the heavens

I so want to find you, so want for there to be no attraction in the depths of my heart,
Find you, hug you, in one step, love and hate are both below my feet

Notes:  I have no idea how to translate "qinggong" into English, but the concept refers to an element of martial arts in which the practitioner manages to take huge leaps through the air, up the side of a building, or skimming across the top of the water; you can see examples of it in Mayday's video for this song, here.  In the August 2003 Mayday Reunion Concert, the second line of the song was changed to,  "This summer will soon suffocate (me), this world is bothersome and sticky."
